International women's day

March is the month of the International Women's Day, where we celebrate all the courageous women who, out of necessity and with bold activism, opened the doors of power for future women.

I am standing on the shoulders of so many amazing and courageous women who have shaped and inspired me - with their art, music, writing, courage, and action.

But this day is not only a celebration, it is also an occasion to remember that we should never take our freedom for granted (rights can easily be restricted or even withdrawn) and that many places around the world, gender equality is still a faint dream.

As a female, independent designer and business owner, it is important for me to pay homage to all these brave women who paved our way, without them it wouldn't have been possible.

If you want to know more about my inspiration, you can read it here.

The eye has to wander…

Our designer Vibe spent the past couple of weeks in Tokyo, a trip partly about inspiration, partly to do a couple of pop-up shops with dear clients and, not least, to meet and plan the launch of our collaboration with the Japanese clothing brand FACETASM –but more about that later.

Collab with Henrik Vibskov

The creative inspiration behind Henrik Vibskov's collection came from cardboard boxes –symbols of packaging, sending, receiving and, not least, the joy of unboxing. However, Vibskov infused the collection with a twist of actual boxing and the aesthetics that surround the dynamic sport. With that as a reference, Harsløf and Vibskov developed silver nose-pieces in the shape of band-aids and ear-pieces with cartoonish birds circling knocked-out heads to embellish the models at the presentation.

These pieces have been made into small wearables in the shape of a bandaid pendant as a necklace and earring, as well as a small bird equally as a necklace and earring.
